Sælusápur / Icelandic handcrafted soaps

Sælusápur is a small family company that produces soaps, candles and more. The owners of the company, Sigríður Jóhannesdóttir and Júlíus SIgurbjartsson, are also sheep farmers on the farm Gunnarstaðir, Þistilfjörður. 

The soaps are handcrafted and made with all natural icelandic ingredients such as tallow and wild herbs. The candles are made with tallow and soywax and they come in different shapes and sizes, with or without perfume. Another product you can buy are the lip balms that are made with high quality oils and beewax. 

Sælusápur are located at Langanesvegur 11 in a small garage, you should see a sign. There you can also purchase local designer products from Berg - Icelandic Design. Openings are from 15-18 most days during the summer but you can also call 892-0515 if no one is around.
